Austin Police Department’s efforts to bring copper thieves to justice. We can all be of help in this effort by calling 911 and reporting suspicious people in areas where house/apartment/duplex renovations are being made and in locations where there is machinery with copper, i.e., large air conditioning units.
The Ruiz Library in Montopolis was recently the “victim” of copper theft. Thieves stole the copper tubing from the air conditioning units, rendering them inoperable.
