Register to vote by Oct. 11

General election is Nov. 8

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Citizens are reminded that the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 8 Joint General and Special Election is Oct. 11.

Those who have moved to a new address since the last time they voted must update their voter registration records.
Travis County voters may review their current voter registration record online at www.traviscountytax.org , or contact the Voter Registrar’s Office by phone at 512-854-9473.
Last minute options to register or make changes to existing registration include:

  • In-person registration at 5501 Airport Blvd. between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. weekdays
  • In-person registration between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at any of the Travis County Tax satellite offices.
  • Mail in an application, postmarked no later than Oct. 11. Find applications at area post offices, libraries or at www.traviscountytax.org

Voters who have a blue certificate that displays a current and correct residence address are registered to vote.
Early voting in person begins on Monday, Oct. 234  and ends on Friday, Nov. 4.
