Austin Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that financial aid will be available to qualifying Austin residents for youth programs beginning January 2014. Funding for financial assistance is limited and will be offered to those that qualify for free or reduced lunch, or meet income-based criteria. Financial aid application forms are available to download and copies will be at Austin Parks and Recreation facilities offering youth programs.  PARD_FinAidApplication
Applicants who receive free or reduced lunch should attach a copy of the eligibility letter provided by the school district to their application. Applicants who qualify but do not receive free or reduced lunch can complete an additional form to verify income-based criteria. Completed applications can be faxed to 512-974-6756 or submitted to an Austin Parks and Recreation facility offering youth programs.
Beginning January 1, 2014, financial aid packages will be awarded and recipients will be notified directly. Financial aid will cover 75% of registration fees up to a maximum of $400 for Austin Parks and Recreation youth programs, such as after school, spring break camp, summer camp, youth sports, swimming lessons and more!
