Next Friday and Saturday morning (January 24 and 25th), Austin’s collaborative, ECHO will be holding the annual Point-In-Time count.
This is an important event for the City because federal and state funding for resources for the homeless are often dictated by census counts of how many individuals in an area are in fact homeless. Documenting the number of individuals living homeless in Austin allows the city to leverage resources for them.

Shift 1: Friday, Jan. 24th from 3 – 8 pm furthest parts of the county
Shift 2: Friday, Jan. 24th from 5 – 10 pm rural/suburban/urban areas
Shift 3: Saturday, Jan. 25th from 3 – 7 am downtown/urban areas
