Join us on Nextdoor! Like most neighborhoods in Austin, we’re on Nextdoor – a private free social network for neighbors. It is a site similar to Facebook, but you must first verify that you live in the neighborhood. Neighbors post classifieds, issues regarding crime and safety, lost or found animals, recommendations for home improvement, etc. Due to the size of the neighborhood association, the neighborhood has been divided into four sections:
NACA – Jamestown is a triangle bordered by North Lamar to the east, Highway 183 (Research Boulevard) to the west, and Payton Gin to the north. The area includes Sidney Lanier High School at the northern edge. Heron Hollow is the park at the corner of Payton Gin and North Lamar. At the southern tip is Capital Metro’s North Lamar Transit Center.
NACA – Quail Creek West is bordered by Payton Gin on the south, Parkfield to the east, 183 and Metric to the west, and Rutland to the north. The area includes Wooldridge Elementary School and Ron Rigsby Park.
NACA – Quail Creek has Payton Gin to the south, North Lamar to the east, Parkfield to the west, and Kramer to the north. The Little Walnut Creek Branch of the Austin Public Library is on Rundberg at the northwest edge, just west of Lamar. The area west of the HEB between Rundberg and Rutland is the location of the new North Austin Recreation Center/YMCA.
