The 118th Cadet Class WILL PRESENT:
“2010 Our communities – Your Communities- Findings from Immersions in the Community”
History: The Community Immersion Program began in December 2003 to bridge the gap between our future police officers and the communities we serve. The program is designed to introduce and educate the cadets to Austin’s diverse communities they will protect and serve. Following graduation on November 13, 2010 they will join the force as an integral part of the community.
Date: November 1, 2010
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Place: J.J. Pickle Research Center at 10100 Burnet Road in the UT Commons Conference Center.
Everyone is welcome to attend. This is an opportunity for Cadets to share what they learned about various community groups including the history, culture and values within each group. It is also an opportunity for the community to ask questions and provide insight.
