About once a quarter, the Austin Police Department hosts a “Commander’s Forum” for Edward sector (our sector). The APD Commander for the sector and his key staff present at this town hall style meeting the crime statistics and trends in our area. This is a great opportunity to meet the APD officers that patrol our streets and get the latest facts on crime in our area and safety tips. Plus it is an opportunity to voice your concerns.
IMPORTANT: The Gracywoods Neighborhood Association meeting regularly scheduled for April 5thwill meet be at 6:30p at Guerrero-Thompson Elementary to participate in the APD Commander’s Forum, instead. All young and old are invited to attend. (Sometime there are refreshments at these meetings.)
* * * Special Presentation: Our area Park Police will be making a special presentation and speak our trail system.
PLEASE ATTEND – and bring your neighbors. Let’s talk with our police officers and find ways to make our community safer for all.
