District 4 Cultural Asset Mapping Project (CAMP) Community Meeting is on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:30pm to (8:00pm) at the Grant A.M.E. Church, 1701 Karmen Lane, 78758. CAMP is mapping the places and resources that are important to your cultural identity and creativity. With your help and input, CAMP will create a comprehensive, community-developed listing and map of Austin’s cultural assets. CAMP is an initiative of the City of Austin Economic Development Department Cultural Arts Division. Visit our CAMP website at http://austintexas.gov/culturemapping. View our online interactive map to add your own points or comment on those points we have collected already. Contact us at [email protected] to request a DIY CAMP Kit and host the Community Mapping exercise with 5-10 of your friends. At the end of the survey period, CAMP will develop a series of maps and directories highlighting Cultural assets in each of the 10 council districts. CAMP will also publish its newly-created culture directory on the City of Austin’s Open Data Portal ( https://data.austintexas.gov/ ) for the Community and City to use in various ways.
