At our September meeting, we will be preparing for the Presidential Joint General and Special Election held Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Early voting starts Monday, October 24, 2016. Remember, the last day to register to vote is October 11th. The association has invited incumbent District 4 City Council member Gregorio Casar, and opponent Louis Herrin to present their campaign platforms. Ann Teich,
District 3 AISD School Board Trustee, is unopposed in her election. She will update us on all of her work and future plans.
Our new District Representative for APD Sector Edward E4 is Officer Adam Soliz. He has been invited to introduce himself to the membership. If you have any current issues to address with him, he can be contacted at [email protected] or (512) 974-8143.
Membership will also be voting on the approval of $650 of beautification funds to go towards a landscaping traffic island project, in partnership with the City of Austin Neighborhood Partnering Program. See you there!
