Travis County Sheriff’s Office Building Bridges Brick by Brick Initiative
Background: The Eliminating Crime & Violence series of Town Hall Meetings is intended to help build bridges between neighborhoods, law enforcement and faith based organizations. Through this series of town hall meetings, participating organizations and individuals hope to create a broader community awareness of the work of law enforcement agencies and how the duties of these agencies relate to other governmental and community driven efforts aimed at promoting safety.
We hope that this community dialogue will lead to collective actions and/or individual actions by participating agencies that will serve to eliminate violence in all its forms as well as to ultimately achieve and sustain the following:
#1 Safest Community Ranking Nationally For Youth & Adults
#1 Safest Community Ranking Nationally in Eliminating Repeat Violence
#1 Safest Community Ranking Nationally In Preventing Victims-Repeat Victims of Violence
