Cleanup Little Walnut Creek at Quail Creek Park tomorrow February 20^th from 9am to 11am.  This is our first workday in our Beautify Austin project at Quail Creek Park! Below is some important information:
Date: Saturday, February 20^th
Time: 9am to 11am
Location:  Quail Creek Park – 1101 Mearns Meadow Drive (parking is available along Mearns Meadow).  Volunteers will meet at the playscape area on the north side of the park.
Activity:  We will be cleaning up trash in Little Walnut Creek!
We will Provide:  Cleanup supplies (bags, gloves, trash grabbers, hand sanitizer, and more), guidance, and snacks!
You should bring:  Volunteers should wear sturdy, close-toed shoes.  If you have them rain boots or waders are strongly encouraged!   The creek still has a good amount of water in it, and some of the trash may require wading into the water.  Long pants are also encouraged since some of the trash is on the south side of the creek and the vegetation is taller.   Please wear sun protection and clothes you can get dirty!  Volunteers should also bring a full reusable bottle of water.
