| Project Connect Briefing presented by staff from the Austin Transit Partnership followed by commentary by D4 Council Member, Chito Vela. Electric trains will serve Austin along North Lamar through downtown and along Riverside Drive-there are at least 4 possible routes.
ACTION ITEM – Residents are asked to look at the routes and indicate their preferences and concerns ***Deadline is May 2nd !!!!*** https://publicinput.com/lightrailopenhouse The attendees of the April 20th meeting voted on a motion to support one of the 4 options. (Motion made by resident, Melinda Schiera, 2nd by resident Mark Grayson. 15 in favor, 1 opposed) The President of NACA, Jared Noble agreed to send a letter to Capital Metro, Councilmember Vela’s Office and Austin Transit Partnership in support of the Line beginning at the North Austin Transit Center and ending at Pleasant Valley and Riverside Residents of NACA are eligible to give individual input on their preference to all agencies. |
