Burnet Middle School, 8401 Hathaway, is collecting Thanksgiving food donations for  15-20 of Burnet’s most needy families.  Most of those families live in the NACA neighborhood.  Below is a list of suggested donations:

•          Spaghetti and spaghetti sauce for a family of four. 

•          Donate $20.00 which will be used to purchase a small turkey at HEB stores in the area.  Cash or check only (make check out to Burnet Middle School with ”Thanksgiving Donation” on memo line).  Mail donations to Burnet Middle School, Attention:  Norma Maldonado, 8401 Hathaway, Austin, TX, 78757.

•          Donate a $20.00 gift card for HEB which may be used by the families for gas or food items or items not covered by their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program card.) Place card(s) in an envelope marked “Attention:  Norma Maldonado, Thanksgiving Donation” and deliver to Burnet office.  Please do not mail HEB gift cards.

Donations can be delivered to Burnet Middle School, marked to the attention of Norma Maldonado, director of the Burnet Family Resource Center.  Donation dates/hours are Monday–Friday, 9am-3:45pm.  Donations will be accepted up through Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014.
