If you live in Quail Creek West, Section 1, you will likely receive a visit from staff members of The Settlement Home for Children. The Settlement Home owns the property at 8900 Hunters Trace, which is currently an empty lot. As their need to expand their programs and services grows, so does their need for office space for their employees. They would like to build an office space on that property that looks like a home that blends with the neighborhood from the outside but functions as an office. There is currently a restrictive covenant in place from 1968 stating that the land can only be used for residential purposes. The Settlement Home needs signatures from a majority of the homeowners in Quail Creek West, Section 1 to amend the restrictive covenant. There will be no impact on traffic, as their staff will park and receive visitors from the rear of this property, which backs up to their main campus as 1600 Payton Gin Road.
If you are the homeowner for a property in that section of the subdivision, you are invited to attend an ice cream social at The Settlement Home’s Williamson Family Campus. Find out more: http://bit.ly/2MloNea
