February NACA Street Clean-up Report

Impact:

Six volunteers cleaned the following areas:

  • Hunters Trace
  • Rundberg from Meadow Vale to Parkfield
  • Wooldridge Elementary School playground/soccer pitch and around the perimeter of the school
  • Briardale/Ohlen/Payton Gin area
  • Northgate between Colony Creek and Rundberg, mostly in the retention pond area on the east side

15 bags of litter and recycling were collected! I recently spoke with a researcher at UT whose focus is in Marine Biology…he expressed his gratitude for our efforts. All our hard work makes a positive impact – high fives all around!

The winner of the Alamo Drafthouse gift card drawing is Soo Han!! Soo and her sweet daughter Sophia recently moved into our neighborhood and were a huge help cleaning up on Hunters Trace and around the elementary school this past weekend.

Please save the date for our March 11th group clean-up and beautification on Payton Gin (we will meet for tacos at Taco More afterward!) and April 15th for Keep Austin Beautiful Day (clean-up of Rutland and Rundberg)! I will send details as we get closer to each date.

Thanks again for being on our committee and for being such great neighbors 😊.

Best regards,

Allison Scharf
