Project Connect Briefing presented by staff from the Austin Transit Partnership followed by commentary by D4 Council Member, Chito Vela. Electric trains will serve Austin along North Lamar through downtown and along Riverside Drive-there are at least 4 possible routes.
ACTION ITEM – Residents are asked to look at the routes and indicate their preferences and concerns

Attendees of the April 20th meeting Resolved to support one of the 4 options. (Motion made by resident, Melinda Schiera, 2nd by resident Mark Grayson. 15 in favor, 1 opposed) The President of NACA, Jared Noble agreed to send a letter to Capital Metro, Councilmember Vela’s Office and Austin Transit Partnership in support of the Line beginning at the North Austin Transit Center and ending at Pleasant Valley and RiversideResidents of NACA are eligible to give individual input on their preference to all agencies.
Redfield 34 UpdateCouncilmember Chito Vela confirmed that the property is in foreclosure because the owner has defaulted on his management responsibilities. The property continues to generate multiple calls daily and extra patrolling. Resident of Redfield Street, Keith, reported numerous health and safety violations persist, but that U.S. Marshals were on the property that afternoon as well as tow trucks. Councilmember Vela agreed to continue to talk to the Chief of Police to harness more resources to calm the disruptions.
North Lamar Corridor Program Office Report briefing provided by NACA Vice President, Jennifer S-G. The corridor is along N. Lamar from 183 to Howard lane, most of which is managed by Tx Department of Transportation, not the City of Austin. In Spring 2025 construction will begin from 183 to Rundberg to cover ditches, add sidewalks and bike paths and close multiple driveways. No actions were requested.   The plan is online at AustinTexas.gov/NorthLamar. Information available by phone at 512-974-4276.
Proposition A & B: Election day is May 6th and early voting April 24-May 2nd.Official wording and commentary were handed out at the meeting. Due to time constraints, the information was not discussed. No official position taken by NACA.
